2006 Pinot Noir

With expressive undertones of the finest vines, soil and clean air, overtones of artistry of the finest quality. Capitello Pinot Noir, simply put, is the essence of teh Willamette Valley. Walsh has stuck to his philosophy wholeheartedly to create an elegantly delicate and crafty wine.

Walsh describes his Pinot Noir as a "chameleon," changing quickly from start to finish. It has a strong structure, with intensity of fruit, Capitello Pinot Noir will age well while bringing out spicy notes of toasted oak and nuances of local berries: blacks, blues, cran and Marion. Layer after layer, it opens up, leading all of the senses in a high crescendo.

2006 New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

The dry rounded palate offering beautifully intense aroma's of passion fruit, peach and pears and also a degree of minerality tones. In the mouth an excellent balance of exotic fruits, mouth filling texture with a hint of oak and crisp clean finish, demonstrating its regional integrity. Read more . . . .

2006 Pinot Gris

This cold fermented, “de-alced” Pinot Gris has a pale straw color and a floral nose of peach-pit, skin of pear, and passion fruit. Mouth: melon, hints passion fruit, zest of lemon on the tongue. The finish leaves the lingering expression of the fruit with buttery texture

2006 Dolcino

This dessert wine has a rich inviting golden color. Aromas of sweet honeysuckle and ripe apricots fill the nose. It has bright flavors of ripe peach and fresh tropical fruits and a smooth lingering finish.

The Gewurztraminer grapes are harvested at their peak for maximum intensity of flavor then frozen before being crushed with a Champagne press. His process has proven successful in creating a balanced and creative dessert wine.
